به گزارش ایسنا و به نقل از دیلی اکسپرس، جان تری برای نخستین بار از سوی ژوزه مورینیو تعویض شد. این در حالی است که او فصل قبل در تمام بازی‌ها در کنار چند بازیکن دیگر مورد اعتراض سرمربی پرتغالی چلسی قرار گرفت. پیرس مورگان ژورنالیست هوادار آرسنال اخیرا اعتراف کرد که از تری در روزهای پایانی نقل و انتقالات خواسته که به مانند پتر چک راهی ترکیب توپچی ها شود.
جان تری در واکنش به رفتن به تیم دیگری در لیگ برتر گفت: هرگز این کار را انجام نمی‌دهم حتی اگر مجبورم هم کنند. فقط دوست دارم زیر نظر مورینیو کار کنم و برای او همه کار می کنم و حاضرم خودم را زیر اتوبوس بیندازم.
جان تری 34 سله در چند روز گذشته از تعطیلات باشگاهی استفاده کرده و به شدت به صورت انفرادی تمرین کرده تا به فرم خوب خود برگردد.

Despite a bad start of the season with a substitution at half time with Manchester City and a red card against WBA that made him suspended for the Crystal Palace game, John Terry reassures Chelsea fans that his relationship with manager José Mourinho is still strong and respectful.
The Chelsea skipper, in fact, admitted:
“Jose’s the best manager I’ve ever had. I’d chuck myself under a bus for him.
Someone also hinted to the fact he could move to another club, but Terry claimed it’s impossible for him:
“I couldn’t do that [move elsewhere]. I could never play for any Premier League club other than Chelsea,” he said.”
